Summary:
Performs the major floor cleaning and refinishing functions in addition to shampooing all carpets and furniture in the building in accordance with the standard procedures of the Environmental Services DepartmentIn addition, provides support for individual and department moves within the hospital
Responsibilities:
1Provide excellent customer service when dealing with patients, visitors and other staff members2Shampoo carpets and furniture according to department policies and procedures3Move furniture and belongings during department or individual moves4Provide detailed cleaning in patient, as well as non-patient areas as assigned by Environmental Services Supervisor5Strip and wax floors according to department policies and practices6Maintains equipment in clean working order at all times7Responds to emergency calls and provides necessary services8Fills in for Housekeeper / Porter as directed by supervisor9Meets performance expectations for Customer Service, Teamwork, Resource Utilization, and Staff and Self Development as outlined in performance review10Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the department/unit
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
High school diploma / GED required
Experience:
Customer service experience or ability required and cleaning experience preferredLICENSURE:
N/A SPECIAL_SKILLS:
Must be able to speak and understand EnglishACCOUNTABILITY:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
