General Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and organize reports, correspondence, forms, and other documents, including the annual report and CISLA handbook and brochures Update and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and statistics for CISLA Update and maintain CISLA website Coordinate work with student fellows to create and distribute posters, invitations, flyers, mailings, and marketing materials Respond to calls and visitors, provide requested information, and direct visitors and callers to other offices as needed Submit payment requests, process p-card charges, and pay invoices Track office expenditures Order and track equipment and supplies, distribute packages and mail Collect data and information for the CISLA admissions meeting, including references from faculty, and create data charts for the selection meeting Schedule CISLA meetings including CISLA admissions meeting and steering committee meetings; distribute materials to participants Coordinate the annual CISLA trip to NYC to visit the United Nations Schedule ACTFL language tests for CISLA scholars Coordinate CISLA events (e.
g.
, banquets, presentations, certificate ceremony), including booking spaces and working with campus catering Arrange lodging for CISLA guests Coordinate scheduling for student presentations in language classes Maintain CISLA calendar Coordinate and confirm submissions of CISLA senior integrative projects to the Digital Commons Coordinate annual CISLA photo contest Education and Skills High school diploma with 1-3 years of experience, required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including editing and proofreading skills; proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office; InDesign preferred.
Must have the ability to work well with diverse groups from across the college and the broader community.
Demonstration of good judgment, integrity, and professionalism, including the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with parents, students, and faculty; well organized, able to work under pressure, set and accomplish goals, and pay close attention to detail.
Must also have the ability to work in an open floor plan office space.
