Quality Assurance Specialist
We are currently engaged with a client who is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist on a Full time direct employee basis. In this role, the QA Specialist will:
Review documented requirements for testability, adherence to the project scope, established standards and methodologies, internal and external regulatory continuity and industry standards alignment
Track testing and quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status
Perform, assist and/or lead test environment scheduling, test execution, messaging review, log analysis and management, configuration and user access management, procedure definition, peripheral set-up and support and knowledge transfer
Work with application and business subject experts for testing and planning, UAT execution and results summary
Execute pre-existing automated tests and defines and documents manual tests
The appropriate individual will have demonstrated experience in the following:
Two years of experience in application support, system support or systems/application testing at a large company (5,000
employees)
Implementation and management of documentation assets and participation in a test or quality management program
Documentation and planning skills, a firm understanding of Q/A and Q/A methodology including
Production Control, Life-Cycle Management and Testing
Working knowledge of databases, including DB2, ORACLE and MS SQL with the ability to identify data required for testing and executing SQL statements
