You will serve as a subject matter expert in the coordination of efforts of the Equity task force. You will be working under the guidance and direction of the Assistant Superintendent, and in collaboration with the Chief Diversity Officer and Equity Task Force (ETF) chair persons, the Facilitator will focus the Academy's response and growth areas as outlined by the University of Southern California's Center for Urban Education (CUE) and their trademarked Equity Scorecard process. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
- Developing, drafting, and guiding the Academy's Equity Task Force Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM).- Developing and broadening campus knowledge of equity-minded approaches to pursue climate improvements and Cadet Outcomes in response to the Vital Signs Report (VSR).- Organizing, scheduling, and facilitating regular Task Force and Inquiry Team meetings and project work.- Identifying and evaluating data, insights, lessons learned, best practices that lead to an understanding of workforce dynamics related to diversity, inclusion and equity and identifying training, curricula, policies, procedures, practices that may lead to improved inclusive climate and equitable outcomes.- Implementing improving efforts on inclusion and equity systemically in Academics, Military and Athletic Cadet Developmental Domains. Qualifications for GS-13:
At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include:
Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies related to equity task force initiatives; establishing program goals and objectives related to diversity and inclusion; and applying analytical techniques to assess climate inclusivity within a collegiate community. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience):
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
