This role provides installation, and repairs to a variety of complex equipment systems, makes complex and major repairs to large utility systems; Installs, modifies or repairs high pressure piping systems.Being a civilian working for the Coast Guard makes you a valuable team member. Typical duties include:
Conducting inspections of and troubleshoots piping systems, identifying irregularities and existing and/or potential problems. Assembling, installing and repairing pipes, fittings and fixtures of steam heating, water, and sanitary and storm drainage systems and low pressure air according to specifications and plumbing codes. Testing systems and equipment for proper operation, circulation, flow, pressure, and leak-free joints. Fitting pipe sections by screwing, bolting, brazing, welding, gluing, fusing, soldering, and replacing connections with new mechanical couplings. Performing a variety of welding processes including, but not limited to, manual welding processes, electric, hydrogen, and oxyacetylene welding, and gas torch cutting. Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope, and quality of all experience and training, regardless of where or how acquired. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (Screen-out Element) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprinting reading) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Materials Use of Measuring Instruments National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience):

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
